You've heard about them, you might have seen one in action, but now you can own your own spud gun!
This spud gun is over three feet long and will use common household aerosol spray to shoot a potato up to 200 yards! It is constructed of heavy duty PVC pipe consisting of a combustion chamber three inches in diameter, and a barrel 1 1/2 inches in diameter. To fire it, you whack a potato (or other fruit or vegetable) on the sharpened end of the barrel, push down and twist to cut a 1 1/2" plug out of the tater, leaving the plug in the end of the barrel. You then spray the aerosol into the chamber, and screw on the end cap to contain the combustible mixture of fuel and air. Lastly, you use a ramrod to push the potato plug down the barrel, and it is ready to fire. Point in a safe direction and push the ignitor button. The ignitor creates a spark which ignites the fuel-air mixture, producing a very satisfying "WHOOMP" sound like a mortar, as your spud is fired up into the air.
The spud gun is sized to be absolutely safe; the pressure capacity of the PVC pipe cannot be exceeded if used as instructed. An instruction sheet gives complete care and usage directions, including what NOT to do.
Spud guns are perfectly legal according to the BATF, which does not classify them as a weapon and does not regulate them. A copy of a letter from the BATF verifying this will be provided with your order.
