Foot stool

This project used the same wood as in the oval coffee table. The birth of our first child was rapidly approaching. We had purchased a rocking chair for Mommy to use while feeding and we decided that a stool was needed for her to rest her feet on.

I decided to make the leg attachment holes through holes to add visual interest to the top. Not a bad idea, but I drilled from the bottom up, instead of top down! Argh! Tearout!

The finish used Watco Cherry Danish Oil and a top-coat of water-based polyurathane.
