Janine Melnitz

Janine is the plucky OGB's former secretary. She's spent the last 10 years drifting from job to job...trying not to pine for Professor Spengler. (It's not that Egon doesn't like Janine, it's just that romance is so unscientific...) Janine was engaged 18 months ago to a nice guy. A solid guy. A boring guy. Janine left the poor gentleman, determined to make her mark on the world...as a solo act if necessary. Instead, the Ghostbusters re-formed and Janine found herself heeding the call. She's the bookkeeper, the office manager, the mother hen and more. Janine's soaked up enough knowledge to be an EGB herself, and there are times when the constraints of her (largely) office-bound responsibilities will frustrate her (enough to shove everything off the desk--computer, phone, anything movable) Equally frustrating are those unrequited feelings for Egon which regularly rear their head. But Egon has been showing signs of acknowledging the feelings within himself and realizing how much he needs Janine, not just as an office manager either. Could something spark?
