Christ the King

Intercessory prayer for the parish of Christ the King and family and friends of parishioners. Each Prayer Network team member prays the Weekly Prayer list daily. The Prayer Network member also is available to pray for any emergency prayer requests that may be sent via electronic mail or a phone call. Prayer requests that are sent out separately from the Weekly Prayer list should be prayed for one week or until the requests appear on the Weekly Prayer list. The prayer network has no regularly scheduled meetings. The only requirement is a personal computer that is linked to a network in order to receive the electronic mail prayer requests (or those without computers may receive a paper copy of the weekly list) and a telephone to receive any emergency prayer requests that are called down to the team.

Each Prayer Network team member prays the Weekly Prayer list each day of the week along with any additional or emergency requests that have been received during the week. This should take approximately ten to fifteen minutes a day depending on the length of the Weekly Prayer list and the number emergency prayer requests that have been received during the week. Anyone interested in joining the Prayer Network should plan on making a one-year commitment to this team.

Gifts and Skills Needed: Intercessory prayer and a caring heart to pray for others. No training is required.
