Using Heroquest Furniture in Warhammer Quest:

Furniture is placed according to the GM's preference. If you are not playing with a GM, use the Furniture in Room Table to place furniture in non-Quest rooms (also do not place furniture in corridors or on stairs):

If furniture is found in the room, roll on the Furniture Type Table to determine what type.

Warriors may elect to search the furniture for treasure. Roll on the Furniture Search Table for each Warrior that desires (and is allowed) to search for treasure.

If an item was found, roll on the appropriate furniture's Item Table to determine its nature. All items are taken from Treasure cards. If you do not have the listed card, substitute the treasures for appropriate cards that you do have.

Sorcerer's Table - A source for rings, talismans, icons, stones, orbs, and so on. Only wizards and mages may search the Sorcerer's Table for items.

Alchemist's Bench - A source for potions. Only wizards, mages and witch hunters may search the Alchemist's Bench.

Throne - A source for crowns and scepters which can be searched by anyone.

Tomb - A place to ransack armour and equipment from the dead. Searchable by anyone except the wizard.

Weapons Rack - Each member of the party except the wizard may search the Weapons Rack, a source of myriad fine weapons.

Cupboard - A source of assorted stashed gold and items, searchable by anyone in the party.

Table - May be searched by anyone, or, alternatively, used as a shield against ranged weapons, or stood upon in battle. To use as a shield,

1. One Warrior may expend all of his movement for one turn to overturn the table.
2. Warriors attacked by ranged weapons (from the other side of the table) receive a +1 bonus to their Toughness.
3. The table may not be searched if it has been used as a shield.

To stand upon while in battle,

1. Expend one additional movement space to climb on or off of the table.
2. When battling opponents on ground level, add +1 to your "To Hit" roll.

Fireplace - (Not Searched) A Warrior may expend his attack for one turn to retrieve a burning log from the fire (if he is standing in front of the fireplace). The next turn, he may use it as a weapon (treated as a dagger) for his attack. If used against a mummy, the bandages will ignite, destroying the mummy instantly. Treat this as a killing blow.

Bookcase - A source of magic scrolls, searchable only by wizards, mages, and witch hunters.

Rack - Not searchable, but it looks so darn good in a room.
