Hello everyone! After reading the Treeman monster message I had an idea to create a Dryad warrior!! He's not that great and I havn't tested them out yet so I'd love some feedback!!! By the way where's the Phantom??? Havn't seen anything from him in a while? DRYADS WARRIOR ************************ Dryads are tree spirits - magical beings who dwell in trees and are capable of assuming the aspects of a particular tree are even shape-shifting into the form of a tree at will. The Forst of Loren is one of the last refuges of these strange beings. Dryads have a solid form, with flesh like the pliable, green sapwood of a young tree. Their hair is like the foliage of a tree of may resemble moss and lichen. Dryads are not small creatures, they tend to be up to about twice the height of an Elf. When they apprear to Elves or Men in a friendly or alluring aspect, Dryads take on the semblence of a beautiful, lithe yound woman with treelike characteristics. In place of hair, a cascade of green or autumn-coloured leafy foliage flows from their head, and their complexion is green, brown or even silvery-white. Dryads speak with strange, eeri sonorous voices able to charm or scare the unwary. Their slender, long fingers are usually also dangerous weapons sprounting throns or whip-like twigs. They are extremely spiteful beings and vengeful if offended or if the trees they inhabit are threatened or harmed. Using a Dryad as a Warrior ************************** If you want to use a Dryad as a Warrior then you must have a Dryad miniature to represent him. The Statistics of the Dryad are... Wounds : 1D6+8 Move : 5 Weapon Skill : 4 Ballistic Skill : N/A Strength : 4 Toughness : 4 Initiative : 3 Attacks : 1 Pinning Roll : 5+ Luck : 0 Willpower : 3 Weapon : None Armour : Dryads have no armour, but they have a magical aura which protects them, this gives them a save of 5+ against weapons, missiles, magic etc. Dryads do not have a dry woody bark so they are not flamable. Equipment : None Special Rules : ... Shape Shifting ************** Dryads have the capability to assume the form of a certain tree aspect, this can assist them in combat. When the Dryad has changed his aspect then he will remain like that for D3 turns, after that he has to go back to normal or change to another aspect. A Dryad can change in to a different aspect whenever he wants (unless he is forced to), to do this you must decide which aspect to change him in to and then he will assume that aspect. A Dryad cannot use two aspects three times in succession. There are three different aspects they can assume... Birch Aspect ************ Your Dryad will obtian +1 Attack and his opponent will be at -1 toughness. Oak Aspect ********** Your Dryad will obtain +1 Strength, +1 Toughness. Willow Aspect ************* When the Dryad enters combat you must roll a D3, these are the amount of monsters around the dryad (1 square) who will loose 1 attack. Battle Level ************ When your Dryad goes up to the next battle level (by paying a certain amount) then he gains +1 on all modifiers for the aspects, so if he was on BL 4 he would +4 to his Strength and +1 to his toughness if he took the Oak Aspect. The Amount the Dryad has to pay to go up a Battle Level is the same as it is for the Wizard Warrior, and he gains no Skills, or Statistics modifiers. A Dryad in a Settlement *********************** The Dryad cannot buy any weapons or armour, but he can buy things from in the General Store. The Dryad can visit any building in the settlement, he counts as a Dwarf when entering the Alehouse and cannot visit the Dwarfs Guild and Wizards Guild, and the Dryad cannot go and gamble.
