Date: Sun, 18 Jan 1998 13:44:52 -0000 From: John Keyworth Subject: Magic cards I've come up with some alternative rules for those magic cards, NOT implying that the origionals were inadiquate, GOBLIN TINKERER "Can they do that?" -Inwita, Zhalfirin artifacer, last words. Use a goblin champion with a random weapon from the Engineer character (from the WHQ Archive page, I think), He is also surrornded by a body guard of various greenskins. STENCH OF DECAY "Disa is dead, and I am left. I shall allow no others to succumb to this pestilence." -Kolbjorn, High Honored Druid In the room is an undead druid (use the wizard or druid character) with Regeneration 1d6 and for every turn spent in the room every warrior takes 1 automatic wound (plague). The Druid will not leave the room as he is trying to keep the warriors out of the room. SOULSHRIEK "The flesh is a casket for the soul." -Shauku, Endbringer In the centre of the room is a chest which absorms the souls of the good, any good warrior in the room must roll under there WP on 1d10 or loose 1d6 wounds. A warrior who dies from this remains on the board but can't be resulected by normal means. The box has a Toughness of 8 and 10 wounds per battle level. If it is destroyed all wounds it has caused are regained which can resurect people. It also resurects 1d6 previous victims who give each warrior 100 gold. Also each warrior may get a tresure cards from the floor if they roll a 4+ on 1d6. SHAPER GUILDMAGE "Shape this world in Zhalfir's image." -Shaper Guild maxim There are normal monsters on the section and also a chaos sorcerer who can polymorph 1d6 monsters on the bourd into different ones each turn. They regain all wounds and roll on the apropriate monster table to determin what they turn into. If they started as champions they are a champion level in what ever race they were etc. They retain any old magic skills. John
