Love Poems.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I wrote this poem
to say I love you.
Roses are red
Daffodils are yellow
I'd like to see you
in a bowl full of jello.
Roses are red
Lilacs are purple
If the honey didn't please you
Maybe the syrup'll.
Roses are red
Peonies are lime
This is my
Gratuitous rhyme.
Roses are red
Daisies are yellow
This rhyme really sucks
and the poem doesn't scan well.
Roses are red
Orchids are ochre.
This was written
by a practical joker.
Roses are red
Irises are orange.
I'll bet you wonder
just how I'm going to end this poem to get a rhyme, but in this dark, angst-ridden,
fin-de-siecle world in the current environment of horror and war and personal
suffering in the futile, misguided quest to find meaning in an increasingly
random, essentially meaningless world, why should I?
