This is the view of Col Camp from about 100m below the summit of Alpamayo- the Taj looks pretty small from here (inset enlarged 4x)! It is the most spectacular alpine camp I have ever stayed at. Great views of Alpamayo and Quitaraju on opposite sides of the col, and of Santa Cruz to the west. The route from Morain Camp reaches the col just across the diagonal cravasse above camp.
