The
PEDAL Mission:
PEDAL (Peoples'
Efforts to
De-emphasize Autos in
Loveland) is a group of bicycling enthusiasts in Loveland, Colorado. PEDAL began on Earth Day in 1970, and
after more than 38 years, we
are still riding and working to educate the public on bicycle-related
issues.
Our members comprise every aspect of the Northern Colorado cycling
community. They range in age from 13 to 78. Our members include men and
women, boys and girls. They include commuters, road and mountain
racers, ultramarathon riders, and the dreaded hypercycloids.
We support activities
like Earth Day and Bike-Week, and we agitate for
better bike trails and for greater awareness of the 900-mile-per-gallon
vehicle by the general public.
If you are interested in trying a PEDAL ride, please come along! We're
social, we rarely bite, and some of us still wear wool jerseys.
Speaking of which, as this is Colorado, it's generally a good idea to
bring along some warm clothes in case of weird weather.
