Loveland has a fair amount of on-street bicycle lanes. Planning standards call for bicycle lanes to be included in much new construction. No map is available. P.E.D.A.L. is working on a map for this Web Page.
Loveland has a multi-use
recreational
trail - or at least part of one. P.E.D.A.L. members helped with the
planning of
the trail, which - if it is ever completed - will comprise a bicycle
beltway
around the city.
Construction on the trail began in 1989 with an expected completion
date of
1996. The trail is now about half complete.
The Trail's budget has been cut by the current city council, which will
further
delay the trail's completion.
Trail maps are available from the Loveland Department of Parks and
Recreation,
and are stocked at the Chilson Recreation Center.
