P.E.D.A.L. Ride Schedule

The Loveland bicycle club, P.E.D.A.L., is starting its 38th year of planned bicycle touring.

Our goals are to promote cycling and to provide a form of recreation offering exercise, companionship, and pleasant scenery. We try to schedule some variety of riding difficulty and challenge each month. Usually we include a moderate, flat ride for casual or beginning riders, a mountain-bike ride and a strenuous ride that is fast, hilly or long-distance.

We strongly recommended using a helmet for any cycling. We encourage anyone to ride with us, but ask that those under 16 years of age be accompanied by an adult. Participants ride at their own risk.

P.E.D.A.L. encourages riding with the group for several reasons:

  1. Safety - Auto traffic is more cautious when approaching a group of riders than one or two riders.
  2. Support - P.E.D.A.L. members often carry tools and pumps, and can repair many mechanical problems on the spot.
  3. Advice - More-experienced riders can share suggestions with novices on riding techniques, safety, and comfort.
  4. Companionship - Touring in groups allows visiting with interesting people and making new friends.

We depart from the Loveland Library parking lot at the Civic Center unless specified otherwise. Since plans may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the names and phone numbers of the information contacts are included.

To ensure that all riders feel comfortable matching their skills and physical condition with the rides on the schedule, P.E.D.A.L. describes their rides as:

YOU MUST WEAR A HELMET
TO PARTICIPATE IN P.E.D.A.L. RIDES

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RIDES BEGIN AT THE LOVELAND LIBRARY UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED
