FROGMEN

underwater camera use

How It Is Used

When properly balanced, the camera may be moved through the water for making movies of undersea obstructions, the ocean bottom, training exercises, etc. The swimmer holds the camera in this position and guides both the camera and himself by tilting the unit by means of the control lever at the bottom front of the camera housing. Under the wings are big handles for carrying the unit when ashore or for grasping it while underwater. Although the broad front of the camera unit offers resistance to the forward motion of the device, surprising speed may be made with the unit when propelled by the flippers of a rugged Frogman. The back half of the housing is removable for servicing the camera. The grooved knob on the extreme rear of the camera may be loosened or tightened to release the rear portion of the housing from the front section. Compressed air keeps the housing charged with air.
