Planning a Practice Raid

Before every mission, the project is carefully planned down to the smallest detail. Every man knows just what he has to check on, explore, or destroy. Here the instructor indicates to a Frogman that his project will be the rocks to which he is pointing. Another might draw as his "problem" a sunken boat to destroy. These problems show actual shorelines and obstructions, and are made from aerial photographs, which are also studied by the trainees for additional information on their "homework." When the students are sent off on their problems, they know exactly where they are to go and what they are to accomplish when they get there.
