FROGMEN

report

All-Important Report

Once the Frogmen have been snared aboard and returned to their command ship, they report at once to the Interrogation Officer. Here they give such details as depth of water, type of bottom (sandy, coral, rocky, or muddy), obstacles found (either natural or man-made), depth of these obstructions, and contours of the beach. From these an accurate map can be made for use in event of an invasion or landing-party operation. Note that the man on the desk has pulled his rubber suit over his head so that he is talking with his head out the back opening of his suit. In his hand (beside the invariable cup of Navy coffee) is held the plastic memo pad upon which he had scratched the data while under water. The white cord in his hand is what holds the plastic pad and stylus about his neck, while swimming. The other swimmer is having the clamp removed from the back opening of his rubber suit.
