FROGMEN

Air and Eyesight Added

This Frogman is equipped for deeper dives and longer stays under water. The tanks (two of the three do not show in this photo) give him an ample supply of oxygen for long underwater missions, and the mask will give him almost normal dry-land vision under water, depending upon the depth to which he goes and the amount of sunlight from above. The small metal and rubber unit on his chest is an air vent through which the diver may exhaust the air within his suit if he must go to greater depths. These tabs show on the suits worn by the men on the opposite page, and will be noted upon the left side of the helmet section of the suits as well. The diver breathes through a mouthpiece inserted in the flexible oxygen pipeline from the tanks behind his back. The vision mask fits over his eyes and nose, but not his mouth.
