My Muscongus Bay Lobster Smack Model Boat

This is a wood model boat for display, half inch scale.
It's from a kit by Midwest. I changed some things, like I'm sure any modeler does. I made sewn sails not the varnished ones; used kite string for the thicker riggings; stained all the wood; added oars and two (store-bought) cats. I designed and made the elliptical display case (shown at the end).
In the mid-1800s, these boats were used for catching live lobsters and fish. This type of boat was a forerunner of the friendship sloop.
