Includes some notes. Any evaluations are purely my opinion: maybe I just don't understand on some of these. All sample images are from when the thing is about to start relaxing. Those whose creator is listed in the credits.txt file are noted: "in credits." Cats

clorpoin - Wow! Nicely shaded siamese kitten.

Tabby - white striped cat. Came with the X-Windows version of Neko.


orange-tabby - I made it, I like it. - In credits.


Deedee - In credits.


Calico Tabby - In credits.

Nekocool - kitty in bright sweats and sunglasses! In credits.


multi - any change in direction changes it's color. Some are neons.


Pink Nose Neko

 
Dogs

dog - unrelated to the other dogs. Came with the X-windows Neko.


Lucy Dog


Brown Dog - closely related to Lucy Dog


dalmy - a cousin of brown dog and lucy dog

 
Other Animals

fox - Cute little fox pup.


penguin - cute - on bottom border bump, gets out a hammer and swings.


penguin 2 - clever things for other border bumps, though two don't make much sense (right: ice fishing; left, pitchfork jab).


skunk - sprays green mist on border bumps.


Turtle - pretty lame. Changes view to head on during rest, overhead at other times. Becomes small when walking horizontally. Some cute action on sleep and heading to sleep. Larger file than most of the others.


Chocobo - a birdie


bug - a bug. Looks cool when it is walking. Goes into head on view (as shown) when resting.


face - seems to be an arthritic rat, actually.


Tentacle - Weird: a purple and green end of a tentacle arm wobbles around. Looks like a wizard's hat to me.


Worms - Plural? Has a gun? I thought this very lame. In credits.

 
 
Contemporary Things

Coke Bottle - nothing special, no fizz, even. Just changes directions. In credits.


Monster Truck - Like the bug, goes into head on view (as shown) while resting.


Mini - Pretty goofy and fun. During sleep, changes size to large and view to head-on. On movement, is side view.

 
Space

alien - cute!


Tie Fighter - Doesn't do anything special, but it's nicely done.


Moon - A rocket. Quite amusing in how it taps the edges of the screen!


Rocket - blasts off and moves, returns to rest on the ground like it started. Pretty clever, but I don't understand why sleep is a side view of an explosion.


Bluemarine - I don't know what it is. Signals and flashing lights.

Cartoony Characters

Green Ghost - Very fun - surprisingly expressive!


Caz - Abstracted cutie. Larger file than most others. In credits.


Sonic - Pretty good and has fun stuff on edges. On down move, is in free fall! Larger file than most others.


Red BSD Daemon - little devil (the trademark for freely distributed software, I think).


Brown BSD Daemon - kind of greenish brown, really.


zelda3 - The hero of time, Link (Link to the Past), from the Nintendo video game series The Legend of Zelda. Up is away, down is forward. Larger file than all of the others. In credits. Thanks KR for the info on this character.


ff3mog - Up is back, down is forward: walks on the screen as if it were a plane. Larger file than most others. In credits.


Pac Man - Has no eyes.


Metroid - I don't know what it is, and it only changes color. I thought this very lame.
