"Kid on a pole"

The Story:
Josh C., a.k.a. "Pole Boy", was destined to be taped to a pole. On Saturday, June 11th, his destiny became a reality. He devised the idea to have himself be taped to a pole on Caribou, the often frequented road in front of Linton Elementary School. Along with help from his friends (Alex G., Mark R., and Zach B.), Josh became famous for 15 minutes (give or take a minute or two). With Zach videotaping the whole ordeal, Josh stayed on the pole for about a half an hour. The whole time, bystanders stared at him, asked him if he was alright, and wondered if they should call the police. One guy even took his own pictures. Josh insisted that he was fine, even stating many times that it was "fun" to be on the pole. As it turned out, some civilian(s) didn't think it was so fun. The police arrived. Josh and Zach insisted that it was alright. The first police officer (see picture # 5) said there was nothing wrong with it. But later, another policeman arrived, and said that it was illegal to post stuff on city owned poles. Josh had to be cut down from the pole. With duct tape still all over him, the foursome decided to head to a garage sale being run by the same guy that took the pictures of Josh. "Pole Boy" had no idea what he was getting himself into. The idea, devised by the picture taker himself, was for Alex to rip the tape off of Josh in one fell swoop, while two video cameras are covering it. Josh said after this that it hurt, but in the end, it was all worth it.
