Dowdy Lake is the largest one of Red Feathers Lakes, located about 1 hour of driving from Fort Collins. It makes a nice destination for evening paddling but it is usually quite overcrowded during weekends. A great mountain scenery covered with pine, spruce, aspen and lot of rocks. Watch for underwater rocks!

Other lakes in this area are equally scenic but much smaller: West Lake - 37 acres, Parvin Lake - 63 acres, Bellaire Lake - 11 acres, Credmore Lake - 10 acres, Lost Lake Lake - 7 acres.
