I've just started inline skating in order to explore it as an efficient option for doing a 40 mile highway portage during 2006 WaterTribe Ultimate Florida Challenge - 1200 mile paddling race around Florida.

I've never used inline skates before. I did some recreational ice skating during my school years, but it was over 30 years ago. So far, my skating is going pretty good. After 3 or 4 session I am able to skate from 10 to 15 miles on a bike trail along the Poudre River. I will try to photograph and document all longer bike trails in Fort Collins and vicinity. I've found the Inline! book by William Neally very useful and fun to study.

I haven't tried to tow my boat yet. I may consider a nordic style of skating for that purpose, i.e., using trekking poles.
