A Short Story in 14 Pictures and 53 Words

Fort COllins - Poudre River
A first major update to my paddling pages this year: a short story in 14 pictures and 53 words featuring: Poudre - "the river" and Sisson Nucleus 100 - "the kayak".

I was paddling the Poudre River again and exercised more self shooting with my Canon EOS 10D camera controlled by a self timer. It was rather tricky to pack this camera and a heavy tripod to the Sisson kayak. I was shooting with a warm polarizer filter. However, I would prefer these pictures with a regular polarizer. I was prepared for cloudy conditions but was rewarded with some warm sunlight before sunset.

There was a couple of inches of snow in the morning which provided me with extra motivation for a photo session. Unfortunately, all snow disappeared by afternoon. I found only some ice on ponds, on the river, and later, on the deck of my kayak.
