Tue - April 25, 2006Pentax Optio W10 Review: Good Image Quality, Good Battery Life, and Easy Operation DigitalCameraReview
has published a quite comprehensive on-line
review of the Pentax Optio W10, a new model from the line of waterproof
point-and-shoot cameras which popular among paddlers. It contains some test
pictures and a description of many the camera features. If you are still looking
for a paddling camera you can check that review.
A Few Concerns: "I don't have any major complaints with this camera. The LCD could have a bit more resolution and it can be hard to see in full sunlight, even with the anti-glare coating. Also, the shutter lag with a full shutter release is a bit higher than I would like to see." Conclusion: "The Pentax Optio W10 can withstand an accidental dunk in the water, a drop in the sand, or even some shallow snorkeling. Good image quality, good battery life, and easy operation make it a great performer, above water and below. This is a great camera for anyone who likes to spend time near water and take pictures." And, of course, you can find a lot of information on Pentax Optio WP, WPi, and W10 waterproof cameras and many pictures and some video clips shot with the original WP in my blog: |
