The Louvre: A Girl in Red Gloves

February 2006. It was a cold, cloudy and gray Sunday in Paris when I visited the Louvre. Going through my snapshots again I was trying to find pictures with some water.

The palace moat was definetely dry. These days they keep a sphinx there. I saw a lot of water motifs in painting, e.g., Géricault's The Raft of the Medusa, but I was not allowed to shoot pictures in painting galleries.

Fortunately, I found some water inside and outside of the entry pyramid. But, a girl in red gloves was a water picture I was looking for.
