Agreement of Contract

|
We, the assembled crew of the combat starship Silver Hawk, hereby enter into legal contract with the Murky Depths Privateering Company. We pledge to operate within the Rebel Alliance Rules of Engagement, to obey the orders of our Captain and the laws of our beloved Republic, and to adhere to the Articles of the Murky Depths Privateering Company.
I, Garvu Quinn, do hereby certify under oath that I am the sole founder and owner of the Murky Depths Privateering Company. I verify that I am legally responsible for its physical and financial assets, including the combat starship Silver Hawk. As the ranking officer of this military company, and with full agreement of its members, I shall always occupy the highest position in the Company's chain of command. To this end, I hereby assume the title of Captain, and all the responsibilities and priveleges such rank entails. Upon my honor, I do solemnly swear to uphold the laws of the Republic, to operate within the Rebel Alliance Rules of Engagement, to administer and to adhere to the Articles of the Murky Depths Privateering Company, and to at all times conduct myself with the courage, conscience and devotion to my crew, my Republic and its ideals as would be expected of a Naval Captain of the New Republic. |

Article the First

|
Every member shall have a vote when votes are called.

Article the Second
| |||||||
Of prizes taken, all repairs and expenses shall be paid first. The company shall take a 20% portion of the profit, with shares of the remaining 80% to be distributed as follows:

Article the Third
| |||||||
|
All shares will be distributed fairly, under watch of the Executive Officer and three shipmates elected by the crew. Defrauding the company shall be punished by prosecution in a New Republic court of Naval Law. The current penalty for this crime is a minimum of one year imprisonment.

Article the Fourth

|
There will be no retirement or disbanding until each crew member has shared out a minimum of 100,000 credits. Crewers handicapped during company operations beyond reasonable service participation shall receive 80,000 credits from the group's finiancial pool.

Article the Fifth
| |||||||
|
Personal equipment shall be kept clean and servicable at all times. All ships systems are to be maintenanced regularly. Minor violations will be punished by extra work detail. Major violations will result in exclusion on the next share payout, or dismissal from the Murky Depths Privateering Company, at the Captain's option.

Article the Sixth

|
No minors, idlers or visitors. The ship is to be kept clear of all non-crew members except as authorized by the Captain or the Executive Officer. Unauthorized guests and strangers are to be treated as intruders. They will be arrested and detained, by force if necessary. Infractions against ships security will be taken very seriously, and will be punished by either exclusion on the next two share payouts or dismissal from the Company, at the Captain's option.

Article the Seventh

|
No intoxicants or gambling on duty. Violations will be punished by extra work details, exclusion on the next share payout, or both.

Article the Eighth
| |||||||
|
No fighting on board. Personal disputes that cannot be resolved peacefully will be resolved ONLY by command sanctioned duel. Combatants may elect to fight either hand-to-hand with stun batons, or by blaster quickdraw. The ranking officer retains the right to decide which participant will select the type of duel. Fights will be to unconsciousness or submission; no permanent injury or dishonorable tactics will be permitted. After a duel, the matter shall be considered settled and the combatants are expected to shake hands. Any additional fighting will result in the removal of one or both parties from the Murky Depths Privateering Company.

Article the Ninth

|
Fighting outside of the guidelines in Article the Eighth is expressly forbidden. Assault against a general crewer will draw extra work details, time in the brig, and/or exclusion on the next share payout. Assault against an officer will result in exclusion on the next two share payouts and time in the brig, with the strong possibility of dismissal from the company. Armed assault of any kind will result in dismissal from the company, with the strong probability of prosecution in a New Republic Naval court. The current minimum penalty for assaulting a general crewer is one year in a correctional facility, and three years for assaulting an officer.

Article the Tenth

|
Desertion of battle stations will result in immediate imprisonment and prosecution in a New Republic Naval court for the crime of Military Cowardice. Dereliction of duty that results in injury, death or failure of critical ships systems currently carries a minimum sentence of 25 years in a correctional facility, and a maxiumum sentence of life imprisonment, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Article the Eleventh

|
Innocent Imperial civilians are not to be endangered, nor their property damaged unnecessarily. Civilian vessels supporting the Empire shall be immobilized and boarded with the minimum of force necessary. Should Imperial civilians resist with force, MDPC personnel may immediately remove the threat by the appropriate means. For these purposes, appropriate is defined as employing the highest level of restraint possible without sacrificing efficiency or increasing the danger to MDPC crew or personnel.
Should it become necessary to detain civilian prisoners, they are not to be mistreated in any fashion. At the MDPC's earliest possible convinience, such prisoners are to be delivered to a neutral location where recovery by Imperial representatives is possible with no significant risk. During the period of their detainment, any threat posed by civilian prisoners may be countered with the appropriate security measures, subject to the definition of appropriate in the above paragraph. |

Article the Twelfth

|
The Anti-Vengance Statute:
MDPC personnel shall never attempt to destroy a civilian vessel they do not intend to capture. Such extreme action is permissible only in self-defense, preservation of operational security, defending the tactical interests of the New Republic or other extenuating circumstances.
