The patient is progressing steadily towards recovery from Toxin-Induced Neurosystem Disruption (TIND). Four years ago I found it unlikely that Garvu Quinn would be mobile at this stage of the disease. However, the poisons he encountered during the chemical fire aboard the Quixotic Chieftan appear to have finally worked their way out of his system. What remains now is significant damage to his sense of balance and gross motor skills. Medical research has proven that Duros have a significant regenerative capability for dead neuron tissue. Garvu is no exception. With time and constant physical therapy he will recover his previous flexibility and mobility. There is strong evidence that Quinn is continuing his assigned regimen of physical therapy. If anything, he has augmented it with swimming, climbing and military practice. It is also evident that the patient still suffers considerable pain from any prolonged muscular movement. There are no known anti-inflammatory agents that will function properly on a Duros physiology. In essence, the pain is an unavoidable part of rebuilding the destroyed synapses and degraded nervous system connections. Despite this obstacle, Garvu is determined to lead an active and very dangerous lifestyle. He has ignored my repeated recommendations to retire. I have rarely encountered such determination in my patients, but I believe it will ultimately lead to Garvu Quinn's full and successful recovery. Tanas Ref, Registered Neurosurgeon, Coruscant Medical Board OOC Note: This log is heavily encrypted by Quinn (Computer Programming 5D + 4D Capital Ship Engineering). There are rumors among the crew that the Captain suffers from some manner of disease, but no one except the 2-1B medical droid aboard know the details or cause. [ Back ] | ||||||||||||
