Our mission is complete as of 1100 hours Chandrilia local time.

Our final night on Brentaal was rather eventful. During the early hours of the morning, our tweeters encountered enemy infiltration teams in the forests beyond the BlasTech compound. We responded with a bombardment of low-level ion blasts from orbit which sent our hidden adversaries fleeing. Our attack had the unintended effect of starting several minor forest fires in the dry brush. Fortunately that inconvinience did not require a great deal of explanation to the Brentaali security force, probably thanks to the intervention of BlasTech.

Immediately after the bombardment, Commander Tessadrone received an order from the "Brentaal Planetary Defense Force" to stand down and return to high orbit. The Silver Hawk complied, and shortly afterwards our tweeters were jammed by the enemy combatants. This order was overly restrictive, so I personally contacted the Brentaali main starport to complain. It was then that I learned that we had been deceived by enemy starfighters. I ordered Eradash to open fire immediately.

Two Cloakshapes were destroyed in the first few moments of attack and another was tractored by the Hawk. The final remaining fighter made an attack run at the BlasTech facility. We set off the luma flares and smokescreen, then charged to meet it head-on with landspeeders and repeating blasters. Ultimately we shot down the fighter, but not before taking casualties. One landspeeder was destroyed and two marines seriously injured. They have since recovered.

The pilot caught in the tractor beam finally ejected into the forest. That individual was not recovered. BlasTech personnel were running forensic tests on the captured Cloakshape fighter; we took the uncooperative R2 Astromech droid as our salvage claim. Deep space rendezvous coordinates were discovered, but New Republic fighter squadrons found no evidence of the enemy mother ship.

Although BlasTech wished to recover enemy combatants for interrogation, I decided not to send additional forces into the forest. We had already lost many patrol droids and our enemy was undoubtedly feeling trapped. I had no inclination to lose more men and equipment, nor did I wish to divert resources from defending our primary objective.

The remainder of the mission was uneventful. We escorted the speeder trucks full of weapons to the Brentaal main starport. From there we departed to Chandrilia. No additional enemy forces were encountered during transit. The Republic accepted the munitions shipment and BlasTech authorized payment of 250,000 credits plus various bonus equipment.

All in all a successful mission. I consider it proof that we can profit while directly supporting the Republic's war against the Empire.
